So like I said in my last post, it was my birthday on Wednesday! I'M 18 OMG. It feels good, I am not going to lie!  On the Saturday I went out to town with a few friends and stayed sober, obviously (if sober includes numerous Jager bombs and Vodka) but on my actual birthday we went to an Italian restaurant; very good.  I had Penne pasta with mushrooms and a white wine sauce, delish! 

I didn't get this dress for my birthday, but bought it with birthday money! I always seem to get statement or  'fast fashion' pieces for my birthday which get maybe one or two outings from my wardrobe in a season and then they're in the charity bag, so this year is going to be different! I love vintage looking dresses and find the skater-style dresses suit my body well, so I've decided to fill my summer wardrobe with bits and pieces like this dress that will last more than one season! (after all, when I start uni I won't be able to afford any more clothes *sad face*) 

I think it's perfect for summer.  Floral, check.  Vibrant colour; check.  Not too short and hooker-ish, check. Doesn't make me look fat, check.  See, ticks every box! (apart from the box that makes Ryan Gosling fall in love with me, but that's a different story).  

You should all know how I don't like to be too girly though; enter studded boots!  I love my Lita look-a-likes and they're so comfy too!  But I couldn't resist having my cute socks peeking out of the top, they're just so sweet.  I'll definitely be wearing this attire in the day with brogues and a denim jacket, so watch this space! Ooh and to V-fest, which I'm also mega excited for, BRING ON SUMMER. xo
