Been a while since I posted, I know! But I've been so busy it's unreal. I've had uni interviews left, right and centre, applicant days and getting exam results! Busy busy bee. But it all paid off! With offers from London College of Fashion and Sunderland it's safe to say I'm over the moon! Thing is, I have no idea where to go, ARRGGHH. But, I thought I'd share with you what I wore for my LCF interview (must have done something right after all).
Waking up at 5:30am to get the mega bus to London is not my idea of fun (surprisingly), but these things have to be done if you want to make something of yourself. Monochrome. It's all over the catwalks this spring/summer, so I thought I'd get ahead of the game and show my initiative. My ss13 ultimate fave was Louis Vuitton no competition. With models coming down the runways in pairs, wearing sixties shifts, minis, midis an maxis in checks of monochrome, yellow/white and green/white, what was there not to love? But it was that monochrome which took my eye.
So to recreate Marc Jacobs' vision, I matched my fave dog tooth, monochrome leggings with a new monochrome cropped jumper (perfect for the warm-up to summer!). Now, the top picture is what I wore for my interview (with the shirt) and the others are from another day because I had no time to photograph my outfit on the morning of the interview (not really surprising). I had ordered a plain black shirt from H&M to wear under my jumper for the total monochrome look, but unfortunately it didn't arrive in time so I settled for an aubergine coloured one instead. Flatforms for me are a must nowadays, they make the simplest outfit of jeans and a tee look more fashionable in an instant. Magic.
And the planned monochrome-ness didn't go unnoticed! I walked into my interview- shaking like a leaf I might add, to be greeted with "wearing monochrome ahead of ss13 I see." "Oh yeah, I love it!" (meanwhile, inside my head: OH MY GOD THEY NOTICED, *FIST PUMPS* X1000000) So at the minute, I'd say this is my most favourite (and lucky) trend. Team Monochrome xo
